My name is Leti Hawthorn and I am a Soul Nurse, a CPCPC, registered healthcare chaplain (2025), OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation ordained minister (2021), spiritual counsellor, and End-of-Life Therapist (2023).

I am also an exercise professional, psychologist, tutor, and specialist yoga teacher. I offer a compassionate approach to health and wellbeing, encompassing physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and bring my many years’ experience to everything I do:

30 years as an exercise professional (YMCA, 1997)

23 years as a health psychologist (MPhil, 2003 “Exercise and Low Back Pain: Exploring Health Behaviours”)

16 years as a Usui Reiki Master

15 years as a cancer rehab exercise specialist (CanRehab)

5 years as a OneSpirit interfaith minister

4 years as a specialist trauma-informed yoga teacher (Creative Calm)

Having graduated with the Postgraduate Certificate in Chaplaincy Studies (Durham University, January 2026) through Luther King Theological College I am now an Associate Tutor on the course and am also providing specialist input to the Methodist Homes Association chaplaincy training programme.

A skilled helper, I work from an educated heart with intuitive, reflective practice founded on experience, constantly updated skills and qualifications, and a desire to meet people where they are.

I added to my ministry training with a specialist course in celebrancy (Coffin Club) and I provide meaningful funeral support, working with people to plan their funerals, working with families recently bereaved, and liaising with funeral directors, crematoria, and other venues. I am a sacred listener, healer, and trauma-informed yoga teacher and describe myself as a panspiritual practitioner and soul nurse.

I support individuals coming to terms with their life-limiting condition, assisting with decision-making about appropriate end-of-life care, whether at home or in a healthcare setting. I also support their families and friends, listening to their concerns, responding to the questions, and giving them time and space to process.

I offer funerals, weddings, namings, vow renewal ceremonies, end-of-life blessings, reconciliation with the past and with relationships, and Reiki.

I lead yoga circles in my local community, offering weekly sessions and occasional weekend retreat days. My work focuses on restorative holistic exercise that is physio-spiritual. I weave themes through the sessions and often includes chants, mudras (hand gestures), and pranayama (breathwork) as well as asanas (physical postures) and nidras (relaxation/visualisation).
